JOB SUMMARY:

The Youth Apprentice Welding will support the production workforce in assembling parts. The main objective of this role is to gain knowledge and understanding of the production industry specific to production welding. This role will be a hands-on learning experience while assisting in different production projects and process.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

These duties are not meant to be all-inclusive and other duties may be assigned.

– Assist in the weld process through a basic understanding of work orders, diagrams, check lists, and blueprints.
– Set up parts for the welding process.
– Weld sheet metal materials.
– Apply measurements to parts and equipment.
– Learn and understand the differences in parts and tools.
– Operate hand tools as needed.
– Perform production duties as needed.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

– High School/GED enrolled student.
– Junior or senior standing
– Must have reliable transportation
– Ability to use and understand linear measurements, Imperial and Metric Systems, and proficient in reading a tape measure and other measuring devises.
– High level of attention to detail
– Strong verbal and written skills
– Availability for hours 6:00am-9:00am OR 11:00am-2:30pm
