When you become a Steamfitter Pre-Apprentice, you begin to learn a trade that will be with you throughout your life! You’ll be working next to accomplished tradespeople and learn what it means to do that job. We are dedicated to getting the job done- but we have a good time in the process!
Within 4-6 months, we’ll talk with you about how you’re doing and then we’ll decide to sponsor you for an apprenticeship and will help you through that process. You’ll make money while you’re learning- and we pay for your training!
What will you do in your job?
Learn how to:
– layout, assemble, and install, pipe systems, pipe supports, or related hydraulic or pneumatic equipment
– Locate and mark bending/cutting lines onto the workpiece
– Use a hand torch and/or furnace
– Position, align, and fit together parts
– Hammer, chip and grind workpiece to cut, bend, and straighten metal
– Deliver material to job sites
– Assist in the loading, unloading, and organized storage of materials
