Bubolz Nature Preserve Job Shadow Day

The early spring is a busy time for us here at the Preserve! Students will get hands on experience with the collection, filtration, and cooking processes of Maple sap. Students will see and use common maple syrup collection equipment. If time allows, students will also be able to help with invasive species removal using common hand tools and herbicide. Both of these duties are very common within the natural resource workforce here in Wisconsin. Careers that students might be interested in that would reflect this type of work would be Recreation Management, Facilities and Grounds Management, Park Maintenace worker, Property Manager, Park Manager, Parks Caretaker.
